About whether they should tell their colleagues that they're gay, what they should do when they suspect a kid they're babysitting is being abused, or if they talk about a movie they thought was good.

#NIGHT CALL VIDEOS DRIVER#
The game shines when you are a down to earth taxi driver that people open up to. This might be personal taste, but the amount of supernatural stuff that happens in this game should have been cut imo. It would be a massive improvement if the game was one story, and not three alternate universes. The point being, that when it is set up like this, the first case is the best the game is going to be. You are never told that you might get false clues. The third case was also pretty obvious, until I got a clue that turned out to be wrong. The second case was very obvious to me, but I guess it depends on the sequence of the clues. The cases are mostly fine, but only the first one really fully works, because everything is fresh and the tension is fully there. This means that for every case you will click through a bunch of dialogue you have already been through. All the cases start out with the killer putting you in a coma, but you survive and the police force you to collect clues in the exact same way. The murder cases are not three murders that all stories that happen in sequence, they are alternate universes. The biggest being the way the story is set up. The game doesn't have huge flaws, but the ones it has adds up. No upgrading your taxi or your apartment. The game also doesn't bog you down in micromanagement. Some clients are people who have known you for a long time. If murder investigations are your thing, you should check it out.Īlso, the main character has a very mysterious background, and you only catch snippets of it, depending on who you pick up and what dialogue choices you make. The murder cases are all very different and they're very exciting. They are all very well written, and feel very realistic and authentic (mostly). Even with playing through all the 3 cases and actively avoiding past encounters, I didn't even have half the encounters.

This is the meat of the game and where it shines. There are loads of different customers with different stories. The art style is nice, but very dark and bleak. Now you have to start looking for clues, while managing to keep afloat financially. You're a taxi driver and you drive passangers, but you're also involved in one of 3 murder investigations. This game is purely dialogue driven with no other mechanics. The writing is mostly excellent and is a game you should play if you like murder-mysteries.
